Mary Ann Cassell, MA, BCBA
Sr. Managing Supervisor

Mary Ann Cassell, MA, BCBA is the Sr. Managing Supervisor for the CARD Virginia Office and of the CARD Virginia School. Mary Ann received her Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Nevada, Reno. She became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2004. Mary Ann Cassell has been working with children with Autism since 1993. She has been a supervisor with the Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Inc. (CARD) since 1996 and opened the VA CARD office in 1998. Through her position with CARD, Mary Ann Cassell has worked with children with Autism in the 1:1 environment of their homes, and in private and public schools. She has served as a consultant for public school autism programs, private schools for children with Autism, private families and other agencies. Mary Ann Cassell has presented at conferences for parents and professionals on a variety of topics related to the Autism Spectrum, including behavior management, discrete trial training, executive functioning, social skills development, and working with children with Asperger’s Syndrome.



Katherine Bennett, MSpEd., BCBA
Teacher/Behavioral Consultant

Katherine Bennett is one of the teachers for the CARD VA School. Katherine is a Virginia Licensed Early Childhood Special Education teacher and also a BCBA. She received her Master’s degree in Special Education from Vanderbilt University in 2008 and became a BCBA in 2010. She spent 1 year teaching preschool Autism classes in Tennessee before moving to Virginia. Here in Virginia Katherine was teaching in the Preschool Autism Class for Fairfax County Schools. Katherine loves working with children with Autism and specifically utilizing ABA techniques to enhance the child’s overall learning. Her experience from both the field of Special Education and behavior analysis will be used to create comprehensive programs for children with Autism.

Laurel Duchon, MSpEd

Laurel Duchon is one of the teachers for the CARD VA School. Laurel Duchon is a Virginia Licensed Special Education Teacher for students in grades K-12. Ms. Duchon has worked in various positions with children with Autism through her career in the Fairfax County Public School Program. She began her work as a 1:1 assistant for a student with Autism and then became a classroom teacher for a group of students with Autism and other disabilities. Ms. Duchon has experience in self-contained, resource rooms and full inclusion programs for students with multiple needs. Ms. Duchon is excited about working in a private school program and incorporating ABA throughout the school day.

Oguiliz Sustache
Instructional Assistant

Oguiliz Sustache is an instructional assistant in our 5-6 year old classroom. Oguiliz has many years experience working with children with Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders as a nanny and instructor. She joined the CARD VA School last year as an instructional assistant in our 1:1 program. Oguiliz wanted to come to the CARD VA School because of the vast improvements she has seen with children using ABA. Oguiliz loves working with children and implementing ABA therapy and watching the kids learn. She is certified in Medication Administration, CPR, and First-aid as well as ABA.

Roseani Sanchez
Instructional Assistant

Roseani Sanchez has been part of the CARD family for 3 years. She began as a therapist in our home based services, and quickly became a Senior therapist. Roseani has been working with the CARD Virginia School as our lead instructional assistant since the school opened. Roseani loves her students and watching them grow. She is certified in CPR and first-aid and continues to lead as a Senior Therapist with CARD.
